Private Patients

Private Patients and Charges

For NHS patients the majority of services are not charged directly to the patient although there are circumstances where a charge is applicable. These include insurance reports, examinations for taxi or HGV drivers, examinations and reports for travelling abroad and travel vaccinations and innoculations. A list of current charges is available from reception.

Overseas visitors should generally expect to pay a fee for service unless they have an medical emergency and should check the charges before booking an appointment.

Alternatively, you may prefer to register as a private patient to take advantage of early morning or late evening appointments that are not otherwise possible. If you think this would be of interest please ask to speak to the practice manager. It is not possible to register both as an NHS and private patient at the same time.
